The Sugar Mill House is a one-of-a-kind property featuring two bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, three fully equipped kitchens, two outdoor dining areas and one indoor dining area. Based on a replica of a historic sugar mill and adjacent to the site of well preserved ruins of a 19th century sugar plantation, this architecturally unique, brand new guest house sits with a commanding view over looking Savannah Bay, Little Dix Bay and Long Bay on Virgin Gorda’s northwestern coast. Sugar Mill House offers an unforgettable experience - where history melds with fantasy. Surrounded by lush vegetation with terraces and striking boulders, the curved stone walls are interspersed with two balconies and a large patio offering stunning ocean views. There are also two separate pools, including a roof top pool with a 360-degree view of the Copper Mine Ruins, Gorda Peak, the Dog Islands, Anegada, Tortola and St. John.

Sugar Mill House is a dream getaway for two couples or a family of 4 or 6 (using a pullout couch) looking for a special vacation. The open floor plan is spacious with old world charm amidst high–tech amenities and all of this accomplished in the round - a true engineering feat. The ground floor bedroom flanks a rounded wall and looks out over a delightfully inviting oval pool on a garden patio just a few steps from the spacious family room. Floor to ceiling window panels allow a spectacular view of the pool and beyond to the deeper ocean blues. The garden patio winds around to a private lounge surrounded by a lush array of tropical plants and fruit trees and a gas barbecue grill, offering a second dining area outdoors. A fascinating new twist on the historical design is the porthole windows on each floor that allow views of the cascading waterfall from the rooftop pool. At night the fiber optic lighting glows behind the water creating a mesmerizing liquid rainbow. Great detail has gone into all the furnishings to blend high-end comforts with rustic old-world charm. Fabrics, paintings and whimsical wall art all enhance the historic Caribbean experience.

The latest in electronics are also available in both bedroom suites, offering a flat screen TV featuring satellite programs from the Dish network and Sirius radio, stereo surround system, DVD player, iPod docking station and ADSL wireless Internet service. Both bedroom suites offer spacious modern bathrooms and fully furnished kitchens with all the culinary amenities making for a delightful cooking experience. Wood cabinets above spacious tiled counters flow in a natural arc. A full array of cooking utensils will satisfy even the gourmet chef in the group. For those who prefer to dine out, Nail Bay’s premiere restaurant, SUGARCANE Bar & Grill is just a short walk away with relaxed poolside dining serving lunch and dinner. The upstairs suite is somewhat similar to the lower suite following the sugar mill conical design. A spectacular patio balcony off the bedroom offers uninterrupted views to islands to the north and east and a chance to view the waterfall that cascades down close to the balcony. There are separate outside entrances to each bedroom suite offering privacy and allowing each enclave to be a hideaway in itself. Just below ground level is a separate entertainment and family room with a queen size pull out couch, a spacious kitchen, dining table for eight and a full bathroom with a whirlpool tub, washer and dryer. A perfect place for all to gather there is a 37-inch flat screen TV with Wii system, stereo surround system, DVD player, iPod docking station plus ADSL wireless Internet service.

The outdoor steps wind around the Sugar Mill House leading to a spectacular roof top balcony and a plunge pool with a waterfall overflowing over the side. From this four-storey vantage point there is an unparalleled panoramic view of the Sir Francis Drake Channel and islands as far away as St John and Anegada. A four burner 85,000 Btu gas grill with a rotisserie tucked on one side makes this a perfect place for an evening barbecue, while others may prefer to use this vista for an evening sunset toast. Breathtaking views, indescribable charm, a chance to partake of history - a stay at Sugar Mill 2 Bedroom House will make your visit to Nail Bay Resort an unforgettable vacation experience.
